NO SUN

Album Rollout

For the last five years I have been taking on clients for single and album covers. I feel many songs release nowadays without specific or designated art, more often then not, singles I see are random drawings or pictures that have no relation to the music.

My goal with every client is to try and change this, I want to help the musician(s) achieve their full artistic vision as much as possible. When doing album covers, I will often work with the artist to create mood boards, drawings, writings and photos.

In these sessions I am able to begin to understand the artists ideas, motives and aesthetics. All of this helps me tailor each cover to the artist specifically.

For No Sun Each element in this cover is captured manually and then edited digitally. The pictures were sketched on paper and then captured on camera. The eyes in the background were captured in studio during a photoshoot with the artist Motionboy2009.

Once the project is released, I will always help the artist promote it. As a graphic designer with a background in digitial marketing, I want to help the artist reach the most eyes and views.

For this album, I was able to contact a company in Tacoma as well as a bookstore, both of these locations offered advertising.
